Brighton Cost: £43 / day for two dives Co-ordinator: Tim Burge Minimum Qualification Level: Advanced Open Water Dive Details: Saturday: Ikeda (28m) followed by a drift. Ropes off at 10:00 Sunday: Fortuna (30m) followed by a drift. Ropes off at 10:30 Two cylinders required Divers: Saturday: Tim Burge, Graham Johnson, Andrew Askwith, Bryan Johnston, Morag Ward, Keith Peake, Richard Reynolds, Tom Briggs, Nigel Stephenson, Richard Ward, Nora Holford Sunday: Tim Burge, Graham Johnson, Andrew Askwith, Morag Ward, Keith Peake, Tom Briggs, Nigel Stephenson, Richard Ward, Nora Holford
Unconfirmed: Other information: The Ikeda
There seems to be some confusion around the actual name of this wreck. She's possibly the Ikeda 6.311 ton & 410 ft or City of London Built in Newcastle in 1891. Currently resting in 28m, if she was the Ikeda, then she was sunk on the 21 March 1918 by a torpedo from the German submarine UB 40. She was on her way to Galveston Texas from London. This is a well dived wreck, she lies upside down and quite broken open, her boilers can be seen through holes in her sides. There are still some portholes left.

The Fortuna
This Dutch Steamship of 1.254 tons was 270ft long and had a beam of 36ft. She struck a mine on the 22nd October 1916 and 15 of her crew were killed. Today the wreck of the Fortuna lays 8 miles to the SE of Brighton and rests in a depth of 30mtrs. She is upright & still intact, although all the superstructure has now collapsed down.
She was holed in the stern and it's possible to enter the hull from here, infact there are now large access areas along the whole length of the ship but take care as it is quite a silty wreck. In the holds you can see some of the general cargo she was carrying and the bags of cement encrusted to the hull.

Portsmouth Cost: £50 / day for two dives Co-ordinator: Beverley Collett Minimum Qualification Level: Open Water Dive Details: Sunday: 10:15 ropes off : Stern of the P12 followed by a drift - Culver cliffs Two cylinders required Divers: Saturday: Morag Ward, Joe Roberts, Pat Hoare, Simon Williams, Nigel Chapman, Adrian Elsey, Steve Norman, Jen Davis, Victoria Spencer, Nigel Page, Malcolm Dubber Sunday: Morag Ward, Joe Roberts, Pat Hoare, Simon Williams, Nigel Chapman, Adrian Elsey, Steve Carter, Victoria Spencer, Malcolm Dubber Unconfirmed: Richie Bullen (Sat) Les Ruse + Martin (Sun) Other information: Brigitta or ‘T’ Pot Wreck
When she went down the Brigitta was fairly intact, until it was further destroyed by another passing vessel. This exploded the insides of the wreck exposing it to the sea bed. There is now a cardinal marker denoting the wreck
At the back is an intact prop that is proud of the sea floor and is astonishing in its size. It is worth circumnavigating the whole hull with a strong beamed torch as there are swim-throughs that are not safe but harbour many creatures that need the cover for protection.
One of the creatures that needs protection:
There is a fair chance you will see one of these or at least one of its land based relatives
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/expat/expatpicturegalleries/7316837/Great-British-monsters.html?image=8
This wreck often unearths pieces of crockery and has lost of life on it.
HMS P12
Cut clean in half, the bow and stern sections now lie over half a mile apart. The stern section being the larger is more interesting sitting upright on a shingle seabed.

The Rez - Experience total darkness diving. Location: The Rez. Longsdon, Staffordshire Cost: £14 for the day. Co-ordinator: Tim Burge Minimum Qualification Level: This dive is open to all suitably qualified divers. Due to the nature of the diving environment at the Rez, divers must use a drysuit, own a torch and be comfortable diving in total darkness. Dive Details: The Rez is a 40m x 20m pitch black diving environment.
At only 2m the dive experience is relatively safe but very deceptive, spatial awareness is altered by the darkness and the internal structure of the facility. Even the shallowest of water presents a danger, so The Rez has a full 0.5 m of airspace throughout.
The Rez is an adventurous undertaking and can only be dived by suitably experienced and qualified divers. All divers must… a) Belong to a registered governing body. b) Hold the minimum qualification to allow safe diving c) Be dry suit trained with a minimum of five open water dives in a dry suit. d) Be medically fit to dive according to The Rez membership Terms and Conditions. e) Be partnered, no solo diving. f) Be confident in a total darkness environment g) Be prepared for the cold. Temperature range throughout the year between 5°C and 15°C
There are no compressor facilities on site. If you need two cylinders, please bring them with you. Divers: Tim Burge, Bryan Johnston, Bev Collett, Dan Cocks, Nora Holford, John Campbell, Jonathan Goldstein, Roger Selwyn, Clare Selwyn, Mike Hoolihan, Joe Roberts Unconfirmed: Other information: The Rez opens at 10:00 and closes at 16:00 and there is a cafe on site. It's near Alton Towers and if you're interested in heading there on the Sunday, for £7.00, you can camp at the Rez overnight.
