Club Dives
The latest club dive was at Eastbourne on 25/26th June. We were blown out on the Saturday but the first dive on Sunday almost made up for the loss of a day. Excellent viz at 15m+, no current due to low neap tides and a wreck that was festooned with marine life that impressed even me – and I’m a self confessed wreckie! The weekend was fully sold but we had a shortage of club divers – was it the early start that put you off or the AOW+ rating? If you have an opinion please let me know on publicity@thedivingclub.co.uk and we’ll take into account for next time.
Next available dives are:
Portsmouth OW/AOW July 16/17th, 4 places available on the Saturday
Swanage All levels June 30th/31st boat and shore diving with plenty of boat places still available.
As usual, more details and how to book are on the dive calendar .
If you can help organise a dive weekend, why not contact the club dive organiser? They can give lots of guidance and will really appreciate the support!
Social And Club Nights
Last meeting’s talk on side mount cylinders was a great success with about 30 people attending the talk and proceeding BBQ, Next meeting will be a repeat of the BBQ social at the maiden over combined with a photography talk by leading dive photographer Nigel Wade. Come along and learn more and have Nigel critique some of your own photos. Please contact Kim on social@thedivingclub.co.uk to let her know you’re coming so we can order the right number of burgers!

And finally…
A message from our webmaster… stay connected!
“I believe it is important to provide as much communication as possible to our members, without inundating with spam. To support this we introduced the Facebook page a year or so ago as a means of the committee broadcasting to the members. We have now enabled the ability for anyone to post on our Facebook wall, allowing people to arrange dives, discuss the weather, or even the latest diving fashion wear. Feel free to use it and communicate with the diving community on Facebook.
There are also other methods for getting information from the club, primarily by our website. These include the announcements on the home page, the dive & social calendars, club news page and RSS feeds for those that want to subscribe to them via their mobile phone or PC.”
