Club Dives

Well, the weather beat us for the last club dive on Wightdiver from Portsmouth Sad smile Andrew is busy looking to arrange a replacement date so keep checking the dive calendar. Those booked on the last trip will be given first refusal on places. The next scheduled dives from Swanage, Anglesey and Portsmouth are all fully booked so if you are still looking for a dive why not put a post on the club facebook page and get together with some other members? A number of skippers are advertising individual spaces. If you need some advice or have a question, post them as well.

Next available dives are:

Dover AOW Sept 29th.

Poole OW 8th Oct

Weymouth AOW/AOW+ 15th Oct

As usual, more details and how to book are on the dive calendar .

If you can help organise a dive weekend, why not contact the club dive organiser? They can give lots of guidance and will really appreciate the support!

STOP PRESS: 2012 dive calendar!

We have started to populate next years dive calendar. So far we have some great dives scheduled including Lundy, Eastbourne and ‘Best of Scotland’; a club trip to Lochaline near the Isle of Mull for a week away. What better reason to renew your club subscription now!

If you have any favourite dives you want to do please let the club dive organiser know and we will try and organise them.

Social And Club Nights

Next meeting is the Pub Quiz Night at the Maiden Over. Charge your classes, sharpen your pencils and be ready for an 8:30pm start.

Speaker Schedule

September: Sea Turtles & Crocs!! With Jenny Swainston

See the Social Calendar for more information.

If you have any ideas of topics for club nights, have access to speakers or could present on a topic yourself, please contact the Kim our social secretary .

And finally…

You may be aware that John at DiveStyle has decided to launch a social diving club to cater more specifically for his customers. As a result The Diving Club is no longer formally affiliated to DiveStyle.  We have a strong and active membership and the club will continue as usual – as you can see by some exiting dives already scheduled for 2012. We have also instigated online advertising campaigns to maintain and build our profile and these have already generated good results. We’d like to thank JC for his support of the club in the past and wish him and DiveStyle all the best. We will remain in close contact going forward.
