Hyperbaric Facility Visit

Until now, club members with signs of DCS have had to travel to London for treatment. A new Hyperbaric Facility has now opened in Reading, and we have been given the chance to look round. We will have a presentation by Spencer Phillips, who is running the centre, a tour, and a chance to see the chamber. Unfortunately, we won't be getting the chance to do a dry dive, but this may be available in the future.
If you would like to come along, please contact Morag Ward as soon as possible.
The facility is located in the MS unit, Bradbury House, August End, Brock Gardens, RG30 2JP

Kyrenia Restaurant in Caversham, Reading, offer traditional Greek cuisine with a contemporary approach.
From a simple souvlakia to sumptuous and generous meze- a real feast comprising at least 18 different dishes- attract customers that enjoy the rich and varied flavours of authentic Greek dishes. There is a good selection of vegetarian options to choose from aswell.

Summer festival at Wellington Country Park
Live bands playing music made famous by artists such as U2, Eagles, Queen and Elvis, amongst others. The full details haven't been released yet, but mark the date - The fun starts about 2pm we can take a picnic, beer and there will be a firework display to finish of the evening.

Go Ape

Go Ape in Bracknell...
Climb the trees and slide across high wires, crawl through tunnels, cross rope bridges, walk the planks and zip down to the ground!
Go Ape is an award-winning high wire forest adventure course of rope bridges, tarzan swings and zip slides... all set high up in the tree tops.
Providing a fun day out with friends, families or colleagues, you'll be fitted with a climbing harness and given instruction before trekking from tree to tree high above the forest floor. Split into a number of different sections, the experience takes approximately 2.5-3 hours to complete but may vary depending on how many people are up in the trees.
Prices around £25 per person.

Indoor skydiving It's flying!
Imagine a wind tunnel that could be used for testing the aerodynamics of an F1 racing car, turn it upright, step into the airflow and you are skydiving. It's a proven concept operating in several countries to the benefit of the skydiving community and anyone else who wishes to taste the thrill of freefall in a completely safe environment.
Prices are dependent of the group size but as an example a group of 10 people can pay £53 each for 3 minutes of skydiving.
